Ok, as little as I cared about the royal engagement, I think it's awesome that Kate Middleton ended up wearing Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. At the time I thought it was stupid, but in the end the fashion buzz was worth it. And it couldn't have been more perfect timing with the Alexander McQueen retrospective at The Met coming up.

What a beautiful dress. She has a really athletic body and dresses very down-to-earth, but this dress made her look like the princess she now is. One can only hope to look this gorgeous on their wedding day. And the tiara: vintage Cartier. Everything you'd ever want to know about the dress, shoes, and accessories here.
